Announcements & Reminders:

Friday, November 21, is a 2-Hour Early Dismissal!

On Friday, all Camden Fairview schools will dismiss two hours early to begin Thanksgiving Break!

Due to the early dismissal, FES is moving recess and lunch times up 15 minutes on Friday. Friday is also a special snack day. If you are bringing items for snack day, please have them in the front office by 11:00 AM. Thank you!

Thanksgiving Break will be November 24-28. School will resume on Monday, December 1.

Have a great break and a happy Thanksgiving, Cardinals!

November is Family Literacy Month!

At Fairview Elementary, we believe reading success starts with strong partnerships between home and school. To support our K–3 families, we’re sharing the Home Guide to Reading Success — a simple, fun handout full of easy strategies to help your child grow as a reader.

We’ve also celebrated Family Literacy Month all November through our family events this month, including Parent Empowerment Night and Breakfast with Dads last week, and this Thursday's Thanksgiving Lunch. These are great opportunities to learn, share, and enjoy reading together as a family.

Let’s work together to make reading a daily part of family life!

The 8th Annual Turkey Teacher Food Drive ends Wednesday!

Help us fill our Backpack Program shelves - and crown your child’s teacher the new Turkey Teacher Champion!
  • Every donation earns points for your student’s class.
  • Double points for most-needed items like peanut butter crackers, ramen, and granola bars.
  • $1 = 5 points when given through your school’s PTO.
  • All items must be individually packaged.

Let’s show that Cardinals care - every item, every snack, every dollar makes a difference.

As we work together on our Turkey Teacher Food Drive, we also want to share help that’s already here in Camden. If you or someone you know could use support with food this season, visit this page for local food pantries and free meal programs.

Thank you to The Hub for compiling these resources. Every act of kindness matters - thank you for caring for our community.

Join us for our Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 20!

We have so much to be thankful for at FES! In honor of Thanksgiving, we would like to invite all FES families to join us for lunch on Thursday, November 20.

Please make sure you bring your drivers license or other state-issued ID card to assist us in checking in all visitors.

Don't forget to check out the 2025-26 Calendar on the CFSD website.

Reminder: Add Extra Clothes to Your Child's Backpack! Please keep an extra change of clothes (shirt, shorts/pants, socks, & underwear) in your child's backpack at all times. This is a big help if your child has an accident on the playground, at lunchtime, or in the bathroom!

Thank you for your continued support of Every Cardinal, Every Day!

Car Rider Line Reminders:

To help keep our car rider line safe and efficient, we ask that you:
  • Load and unload students from the back seat on the driver’s side.
  • Parents, please stay in your car. Teach your child to buckle independently, or pull into the parking lot to assist if needed.
  • During morning drop-off, have your child dressed, finished with breakfast, unbuckled, and backpack on before pulling up to the door.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our car rider line moving smoothly!
