Update: Applications are open for DHS's Summer EBT

Posted Date: 4/25/24 (5:44 PM)

Camden Fairview families, please carefully read the following information on the Arkansas Department of Human Services' (DHS) Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer's eligibility requirements and application process.

What is Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT)? The S-EBT provides funds for meals to students during the summer when school is not in session. Eligible students will automatically receive $40 a month for three months ($120 total) on an EBT card.

Who's eligible?

  • Students who are eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits.

  • For students who are not eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits, their parents/guardians must complete an application. Approval will be based on household income. This includes students attending a Provision 2 school, which applies to all Camden Fairview schools. The household income guidelines for eligibility are the same as those for free and reduced priced meals.

What's the application process? Parents/guardians of students who are not automatically eligible can access the Summer EBT application online, go to a DHS county office, or come to CFSD's Central Office to pick up an application. The completed application must be returned to the county DHS office or submitted to SummerEBT@dhs.arkansas.gov.
Who should families contact with questions? If parents or guardians have any questions concerning the Summer EBT program, they should contact the Department of Human Services at the designated Summer EBT Email: SummerEBT@dhs.arkansas.gov.
