Let's Start With One Good Thing!

Our Cardinals at Fairview Elementary have been learning, creating, and celebrating during Black History Month! Students explored the lives and contributions of influential Black leaders and brought their learning to life through creative projects and presentations.

These projects reflect the curiosity, effort, and pride our students put into learning about the people who helped shape our nation’s history. We are proud of the thoughtful work our Cardinals produced and grateful to our teachers for creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect learning with creativity.

At FES, we believe in learning for ALL - and our Cardinals continue to rise to the challenge every day.

Reminders:
  • Attendance Matters! Please help support your child's learning by making sure they are at school on time and all day every day possible.

  • Add extra clothes to your child's backpack and put their name in their coat! Please keep an extra change of clothes (shirt, shorts/pants, socks, & underwear) in your child's backpack at all times. This is a big help if your child has an accident on the playground, at lunchtime, or in the bathroom!

  • No open-toed shoes. This includes flip flops, sandals, and slides – please make sure your child doesn't wear these to school. They can cause safety issues on the playground and don't keep little toes warm enough in the winter!

Readers are Leaders!

Check out the K-3 Home Guide to Reading Success!

At Fairview Elementary, we believe reading success starts with strong partnerships between home and school. To support our K–3 families, we’re sharing the Home Guide to Reading Success — a simple, fun handout full of easy strategies to help your child grow as a reader.

Let’s work together to make reading a daily part of family life!
